A ladies' secretary desk in mahogany veneer, decorated with a marquetry design featuring a covered vase and foliage scrolls inlaid with brass and mother-of-pearl. It opens with a top drawer, a flap revealing an interior veneered with Amboina burl, and four drawers in the lower section, with side panels simulating pilasters topped with stylized Corinthian capitals, a recessed marble top, and spindle legs. 19th century H_135 cm - W_70 cm - D_36 cm (slight discoloration on the right side, small chips, lock missing from the top drawer, signs of wood-boring insects)
