Automobilia, a couple's passion

This is the story of a shared passion, that of a couple of enthusiasts who, over the course of several decades, have assembled with curiosity, exacting standards and enthusiasm a collection entirely dedicated to the world of the automobile.

This collection, patiently built up, traces the evolution of automotive culture through its objects, images and symbols. It includes a wealth of specialized documentation, numerous works of art, some in limited editions, and a complete set of period magazines and catalogs.

The sale also unveils a remarkable collection of some eighty painted or enamelled plaques, illustrating the great brands and signs that have inspired generations: Esso, Marchal, Michelin, Shell, Solex, Total, Yacco... Around these icons, gravitate a multitude of advertising objects, pin-ups with a strong character, a whimsical Esso theme with Monsieur and Madame Goutte d'Huile, not forgetting beautiful posters and grille plaques celebrating the golden age of the automobile.
